![]() After shaping the blades, the Unitron scientist were able give the M-32 an alternate lift system that does not blast the landing pad below. Taking key raw materials used to make fuel and refining it into the light alloys used in Federation ships, they were actually able to create a new alloy that-when given a power current-actually gives off thrust. The specialty Unitron scientists recently perfected a new thrust technology. For primary forward thrust and added vertical thrust for heavy loads the M-23 has a pair of standard rotating engines. The M-23 has to two types of engines to handle the load it carries. As the the engineers of the Federation, M:tron Division is responsible for building the physical Federation and delivering the parts needed to keep it running. ![]() The M-23 is one of the primary methods of moving containers of refined materials and finished parts at the Federation's ports. In my mind I saw something more like a semi-truck hauling multiple trailers, so I built the tug to be able connect multiple tugs via, well, magnets of course. What was the intent of set 6956? It seems like it was a very big ship to carry one cargo container. A pilot with a sore butt doesn't make a good BuT pilot. The one human consideration that the engineers gave the BuT was a comfortable cockpit. The Tug units are equipped with standard anti-grav generators on the bottom, but when the BuT creates an inertial dampening field around it and the cargo, a very fast-and relatively smooth-ride is accomplished. This technology effectively cancels out the affects of gravity allowing the BuT to pull a large volumes of cargo. The M-56-along with all Galaxy Regiment ships-has started using the new Inertial Dampener technology-located on the nose of the M-56. The M-56's second job is carried out by powerful engines and a new technology from the Unitron scientists. The BuT also has a complement of four charges that can be fired at larger asteroids. They are the best for breaking up asteroids. These aren't the newer weapons found on the newest Federation ships, but rather, they are the wide beamed lasers that were found on the early Classic Space Federation ships. The first responsibility is carried out with the help of two powerful blaster on the M-56. The name comes from its two responsibilities of blasting asteroids for mining or protection of space docs and transporting cargo containers. ![]() Its nickname is even less desirable: The Blast and Tug, or BuT. The M:56 is the standard engineer's vehicle: practical and unexciting.
